Alarm monitoring
An alarm bell no longer attracts the attention it once commanded. The speed of response to a break-in or similar incident can make the difference between preventing a crime from happening or being a victim of it.
Alarm monitoring is a natural extension of the protection offered by standalone alarm systems, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. If the alarm is activated, it automatically reports to the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) within seconds and sends details of the time, location and type of alert. The alarm transmission is, where appropriate, filtered to remove unwanted false alarms and when the operator has confirmed its authenticity, the alarm signal will be dispatched to the appropriate emergency service.
In the case of alerts from CCTV systems our operators can actually see what is happening at the location of the alarm and act accordingly. Clearly this results in a much higher quality of service and level of protection than offered by a standalone system. Similarly, our operators can listen in on the location of an alarm to confirm the authenticity or even a combination of both.
Fires, break-ins, medical alerts and electrical malfunctions – all of these can occur at any time day or night. Depending on your requirements you may well need the security and peace of mind that our 24hr monitoring services can provide.
