APT Security Limited will be known as APT, we or the Company throughout the rest of this document.

APT is committed to complying with its legal obligations relating to confidentiality therefore information collected by APT from this site (including personal information) will not be transferred except as expressly stated in this policy and consented to by the individual concerned.

APT have written this policy in reference to the Data Protection Act 1998. 1. Personal Information we hold that you post at registration and that can be changed through your personal details page.

We use a feature through your web browser to send your computer “cookies” a small file stored on your hard drive. We use cookies to enhance users experience of APT by allowing us to give you better, more personal service once you have registered with us. Cookies allow us to deliver content specific to your interests and can save your password so that you don’t have to re-enter it each time you visit APT. This option can be turned off by switching the facility to “Remember Your Password” option to “No” in your Personal Details.
To make the most of the cookies on the APT website, a temporary “session cookie” is used each time you log in. These cookies will disappear when your browser session ends or if you click “logoff” which appears on the APT website.

2. Your Privacy
We value your privacy but the following dominant principles apply:-

3. Your Personal Registration Details
The personal details you supply at the time of your registration will be made available to the services you have registered to unless you have chosen to opt out of putting your details forward for a service.
To have your registration details removed at any time you can choose to click Opt Out and your details will be removed by the following day.
You can opt-out of receiving emailed Newsletters or other information you have previously agreed to receive by changing your Details information.

4. Security Measures
APT has security measures in place on the APT website to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of any material under our control, however it remains each user’s responsibility:-

To keep your personal details protected to any unauthorised users;
To ensure against other users of the Company using their machine whilst you are “logged on” to the APT website.
To ensure that you have logged off or exited the APT website when not using the service;
To keep his/her user name secret.

Please note that the personal information held by us is held on and processed by computers situated in the United Kingdom.
It is your responsibility to undertake all reasonable precautions to safe guard themselves personally and securing information against the use of unauthorised persons using their password or email address.

5. Credit Card Information
We have chosen to use Streamline who use sophisticated international fraud control to screen all purchases. For maximum card security, all orders encrypted and are sent directly to the banking network for immediate authorisation. Streamline do not store any credit card or bank account numbers and they are never revealed to us. We will be informed of a reference number which will be your password to make the necessary registration payments but this will not reveal any personal details.

6. Change of Control
If all of the assets which APT uses to operate its business (or substantially all of them) are acquired by a third party, we may transfer personal data we hold to that party.

7. Advertising and Partnerships
We may from time to time include interactive advertising for other businesses, which may be of interest to our Users. We may therefore provide third parties, anonymous, demographic data to target this advertising in an appropriate manner.

8. Third Party Sites
APT through its website is not responsible for the privacy practises or the content of third party sites to which it provides link facilities. You are therefore advised that it is your responsibility to read third party site’s own privacy policy.

If we are requested to disclose a user’s personal information by a legally compliant request, we reserve the right to communicate this information.
