The BT Redcare Network monitors alarms over a secure network and guarantees that any activation signals are received by the alarm receiving centre (ARC).
The police don’t have sufficient resources to respond to all ringing alarm bells and need evidence of an actual intrusion. Alarm Receiving Centres (ARC’s) will receive the signal via the secure BT Redcare network, alert the police and ensure you get the fastest possible police response.
BT Redcare classic works using a BT landline or broadband connection to send an unbroken pattern of two-way signals from your premises to your ARC. If for any reason these signals are interrupted Redcare will deliver a warning signal to your ARC who will summon the emergency services, and/or keyholders as required. Therefore if your phone line is cut, then a message is automatically generated.
BT Redcare GSM doubly protects because it uses two secure signalling paths to your alarm receiving centre. If either is tampered with by an intruder, or is faulty, the alarm receiving centre will be alerted and the relevant emergency services, or your authorised keyholder will be called.
